What formal education and training do you have?
I've completed two coaching training programs, one with the
Fearless Living™ Institute where I received my initial and advanced
Coaching Certification (CFLC III), and a second training program in Career Coaching.
I'm a Registered Nurse with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, and have taken Graduate
courses in Stress Management, Health Psychology, and Creating Workshops. I have
additional Certifications as a Professional Speaker and a Personality Type Facilitator.
How did you get into the Coaching Profession?
I've been drawn to some type of teaching or coaching nearly all my life. I started
coaching patients to move through their fears when I was an Operating Room Nurse
with the US Air Force. Yet it was in my subsequent 16 years as a Nursing Instructor
that I found my true path of Coaching. In addition to teaching my nursing students,
I started coaching them to take small steps to build their confidence and really
shine – and I loved that!
I eventually moved out of the college classroom to become a Staff Development Coordinator,
where I could teach and coach college faculty to build their Inner Confidence in
working with their students. Additionally, I began to speak to businesses and organizations
on topics of Stress Management, Time Management, Personality Type, and Managing
Change.
Then I found out about the Life Coach profession and I was hooked. Now I could live
my passion to help others become their best. This is what I'd been doing all along!
After my Coaching Certification, I began teaching Fearless Living Workshops to college
students to bring coaching to the college world.
How long have you been a coach?
I've been coaching college students and educators for 20 years. I've been working
with private coaching clients for 8 years. I'm also happy to be teaching coaching
to coaching students as a Mentor in the Fearless Living™ Institute Coaching
Program.

What are your interests in your non-coaching life?
I'm blessed to have a great and loving family and get to spend time with them. I've
been happily married to the love of my life for over 22 years. I have a kind and
industrious step-son, who's making his mark in the computer field. I love to visit
my wonderful parents, married over 54 years, who keep teaching me what really matters
in life. I have 4 sisters, and we get together for holidays and our annual "sisters
weekend." As to other interests, I love to travel when I can, go to workshops on
spiritual or personal growth topics, browse in bookstores, and spend time at the
beach several times a week (now made possible due to my recent move to Monterey
Bay, CA).
Do you have a favorite quote or saying?
All is well. This one gets me through challenges, great and
small. It’s a great reminder to me.
